As you can imagine, nonprofit organizations are facing a fundraising crises this year. The good news is that more than 900 of the TOP Internet retailers and travel sites have joined forces with GoodShop.com to donate part of every purchase to the Nanticoke Senior Center at no additional cost to you. STRETCHING CLASS: This class will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30 AM This hour class will teach the proper techniques of stretching and includes exercises. Please note: This class is held at St. John’s Church. Instructor: Kathy Cordrey
GENTLE EXERCISE CLASSES: Classes will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. This half hour class will include stretching, light resistance and gentle exercises. Instructor Kathy Cordrey
CRAFT CORNER: The crafters will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 AM If you like to create or would just like to join the fellowship-come out and join us.

AARP ADVANCED DRIVING CLASS: Monday, July 12 7:30 AM the advanced class is for seniors who have completed the beginners class and offers greater savings on car insurance. PRESENTATION: COMPASSIONATE CARE: Wednesday, July 21 10:30 AM “Do you really know what Hospice is about?” Kathy Sanderson from Compassionate Care will be here to talk about “Dispelling the myths of Hospice;” and to explain why seniors fear the subject. All members are welcome to attend.
PRESENTATION: Thursday, July 29 10:30 PM Bill Howe from Lyncore Medical Group will be here to speak about receiving medical supplies such as wheel chairs, orthopedic shoes, and other medical needs through Medicare. Please plan to attend.
CARD PARTY: Wednesday, July 28 9:00 AM Join in the fun for another Card Party. Snacks, coffee, tea and juice will be provided in the morning followed by a special lunch which includes: lasagna, tossed salad, italian bread and dessert. Door prizes will be awarded to each table. VETERANS ADMINISTRATION REPRESENTATIVE: Wednesday, July 21 10:00 AM The Veterans Administration Rep. will be here to answer questions and fill out forms for Veterans. Appointments will be taken at the front desk or call the center at 629-4939.
MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are needed to transport seniors to doctors appointments and hospitals, especially in Maryland. If you are interested, please see our Outreach Worker.
HOMEBOUND MEAL DRIVERS NEEDED: If you would like to be a substitute driver for homebound meals, please contact our Outreach Worker.
LUNCH PARTICIPANTS: Salads must be ordered no later than 10:30 AM. Take outs no later than 11:00AM. Thank You.

EASY (E) Minimal walking, primarily flat surfaces.
MODERATE (M) To fully participate there may be leisurely walking over primarily even surfaces. Some standing and possibly a few stairs.
MORE DIFFICULT (D) To fully participate there may be extended periods of walking over even and uneven surfaces and some incline. There my be steps and extended periods of standing. Participants with physical limitations should take this into consideration.
